The above price included the official fee, international search fee and handling charges for the entering international phase of PCT application. However it does not include the cost for drafting patent application document or translation if required. The cost for drafting patent application document in Chinese is HK$12,000, and in English HK$15,000.
The applicant enjoy 2.5 years priority period to enter the national phase of PCT application in any member state of the treaty. The PCT application also include an international search report, which reveals the validity of the patent application as compared to other patent registrations in the world.
